Monash student: "Welcome to Monash University, find out why you should study here."
Text: Choose from a huge range of courses from 10 faculties including double degrees.
Adele Scott, Bachelor of Arts: "I chose Monash mostly because it was close to home, but when I looked over all the course subjects and things they had the best range of subjects for all the things I was interested in."
Text: A qualification that will be recognised and respected worldwide.
Susan Alvarez-Vasquez, Bachelor of Performing Arts/Law: "I actually had to transfer to get into my degree. I got into performing arts first year last year and then I did really well and got into Performing Arts/Law, so now I’m doing what I really want. "
Text: The world is our campus. Study overseas at Monash and gain credit towards your degree.
Sophie Ivory, Bachelor of Arts (Global): The highlight of my degree is probably that you get to go overseas for six months. I’m thinking of going on a six week intensive language course in Indonesia which is a great opportunity and I’m glad that I can take that.
Text: You won’t be alone at Monash with a great range of support services available.
Adele Scott: "The range of support services on campus are quite wide. You’ve got everything from doctors and childminding services, there is a travel agency just upstairs and it’s a very supportive community and a place where somebody can really feel as if their welcome and safe and that there are options open to them."
Text: Moving away from home? Stay at one of Monash’s many accommodation facilities.
Rina Ariffin, Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery: "I used to live in Halls of Residence, it’s a good experience. I used to live there for one and a half years. They have large halls and a large kitchen and also community room so we can gather together and cook and eat together. It's really good."
Text: Monash academics are recognised leaders and innovators in their fields.
Brendan Casey, Bachelor of Arts: "I think Monash is a well recognised university and they seem to know what skills you need to perform well in your future career."
Nick Amato, Bachelor of Arts: "Yes, the staff here know what to teach you in each line of work that you want to go into, so they are able to provide the information you need for later in your career."
Adele Scott: "The best thing for me at Monash is probably meeting all the new people. The difference between university and high school is that you get to meet people that are like minded and interested in the same things you are."
Sophie Ivory: " I’d definitely recommend Monash to other students wanting to go to uni. I think it’s got a really wide range of courses and there are a lot of opportunities for overseas travel. It’s got really good facilities and grounds and I just really like studying here."
