IT at University

Computers and the Internet are essential tools for all students. Monash University offers a variety of IT services at all campuses to cater for students. Many students would be lost without the computers offered in libraries and the computer labs around the university campuses.

The computers are equipped to provide access to the many online facilities offered by Monash to make student life a little easier. I have found that My.Portal, WebCT and the Voyager catalogue to be helpful tools. They provide an easy way to communicate with tutors and lecturers, as well as providing information on classes, assessments, lectures and uni life in general.

Apart from this, the computer labs have been lifesavers on many occasions, particularly when writing essays and getting them in on time. Unlike the unreliable home computer and printer, you are guaranteed to find a functioning computer and printer on campus.
