Parkville On-Campus ActivitiesOne of the most important things about studying is the time you take to relax, eat, play, meet people and enjoy yourself. Have a look below and see what's on offer. Monash Parkville Student AssociationMPSA represent all undergraduate students at the Victorian College of Pharmacy. The MPSA committee is elected annually play a pivotal role on campus supporting a wide range of services www.mpsa.org.au Social Activities MPSA organise a stack of fun activities each year including the Welcome ball, Orientation boat cruise, paintball, free BBQ’s, Easter egg hunts and the annual faculty ball. Needless to say they make sure uni isn’t all about books and lectures. Clubs and societies MPSA support a wide variety of sporting, social, cultural and academic clubs and societies. If there isn’t a club for you, that’s ok, you can start your own with the help of your friendly MPSA student reps. Student facilities MPSA has you covered with comfy couches and a space to kick back in. MPSA fit out the undergraduate common room which hosts a pool table, Daytona machine, X-box, stereo, microwaves and discount photocopying. They also maintain a meeting room and CUBE which has comfy couches and a TV. Student representation MPSA are here to save the day! MPSA representatives sit on numerous faculty and Monash committees, giving a student’s perspective on a wide range of issues from education to equity. Newsletter MPSA publish ‘Generic’, a quarterly newsletter, and it’s a great way to find out what is happening around campus and with MPSA. MPSA are here to represent you so let us know if you have any problems or an idea to make your uni experience even better. Victorian College of Pharmacy Postraduate AssociationThe Victorian College of Pharmacy Postgraduate Association (VCPPA) is your postgraduate representative body at the Parkville campus. The VCPPA is here to enhance your postgraduate experience, socially and academically and to make sure that your voices are heard on all postgraduate student issues. The VCPPA have organised a multitude of events for all Parkville based postgraduates, including a trivia night, ski trip, pub nights, lunches, end of year function, sporting events and more. The VCPPA also help the faculty to organise the Victorian College of Pharmacy Annual Postgraduate Research Symposium which provides all postgraduate students with an opportunity to present their research in a relaxed and friendly environment and to engage in the other research being undertaken at VCP. Monash SportMonash Sport offers a range of sporting activities for students to participate in. These include Community Fitness Events, varying from walking, running, cycling, swimming and are held globally. In addition Monash Sport can get students involved in inter-university sport which is a great way to represent the university in a variety of different sports. Pharmaceutical Science SocietyThe Pharmaceutical Science Society is all about connecting the Pharmaceutical Science students together to make the most out of uni. With the annual dinner, bowling nights, informative seminars and free food there is always something fun going on. Victorian Pharmacy Students Association (VPSA)The Victorian Pharmacy Students Association represents the professional interests of all pharmacy students at the Victorian College of Pharmacy and is dedicated to providing better services to pharmacy students at Monash University. The VPSA holds a range of education and social events throughout the year including: information nights, first aid courses, cocktail parties, and bowling nights. VPSA are affiliated with the National Australian Pharmacy Students Association (NAPSA). Parkville International Students AssociationPISA represents international students' needs on campus. They are responsible for the famous table tennis competition as well as a host of other sporting, social and cultural activities. RemedyRemedy holds an interest in International Healthcare with a focus on Pharmacy in the developing world. Remedy raises money and awareness towards this issue by hosting various functions, ranging from barbecues to sit-down dinners. The money raised is donated to schools and organisations inside and outside Australia. Remedy have hosted three successful 'Real-World Dinners' at the Victorian College of Pharmacy. With branches at all other Monash Uni campuses and a link with the rural and international health club at Melbourne Uni called ‘Outlook’, WILDFIRE has a range of activities to offer all students passionate about rural, indigenous and international health. Any enquiries can be directed to the WILDFIRE committee at wildfire@mpsa.org.au Baha'i SocietyThe aim of Baha’i society is to foster a spirit of unity in diversity on campus by facilitating a range of activities that encourage and promote the principles of the Baha'i Faith, namely World Peace and the oneness of humankind. Vietnamese Health Science Student Association of Victoria (VHSSA) – Viet HealthWe endeavour to inspire a spirit of unity amongst Vietnamese Health Science Students throughout Victoria, in the dream of promoting awareness for the Health of the Vietnamese community. VHSSAV offers a variety of events and activities to its members including: bowling nights, BBQs, a mentor night and a Dinner and Dance and more. VHSSAV is open to all students regardless of race and background and hopes to improve diversity and unity within the student body of the health and related sciences fields and is affiliated with the Australian Vietnamese Health Professionals Association of Victoria. ASEANASEAN Parkville is the newly opened branch of the ASEAN group that is already alive and HUGE in Monash Clayton and Caulfield. This year and from now onwards, ASEAN will be an integral part of VCP's already awesome clubs social life! Standing for the Association of South East Asian Nations, we stand for providing students with a exciting, fun and friendly social experience at uni! We are at the forefront of bridging a social gap between the Australian-Asian community. In fact, ASEAN is the largest social club of Monash University! We organise a huge selection of exciting and popular events, and work with other club's. You'll have heaps of fun at our anticipated traditional and annual events, as well as a few premiere new events~! Look out for our Summer Camp, Annual Ball, the ski trip, Cocktail Night and Poker Tournament! Watch out for our friendly faces at VCP!
