Gippsland Student Union's President's Welcome

On behalf of the students and staff of MUGSU, I’d like to welcome you to a new year at Monash Gippsland.

Students and student organizations have suffered with the ex-coalition government’s anti-student organization legislation over the last couple of years. And although many universities are now lifeless because of this, here at Monash Gippsland you have the benefit of a student union that has not only survived, but is stronger than ever.

MUGSU provides you with advocacy and representation to help keep things fair for when things get tough. MUGSU is also a source of excitement and energy for the campus, by providing opportunities for people to socialize and enjoy fun-filled activities. MUGSU is run by students for students, and you really want to get involved!

Join one of our many diverse clubs or societies, or together we can even start up a new one. Come to our band nights and sporting events, or go on one of our trips outside the campus.

With your involvement and feedback MUGSU can become even better. After all, it is your student union.
