More than 100,000 prospective students, their family members and friends are expected to visit a Monash University campus or log on to the website during Open Day 2009.
The biggest annual event on the University calendar, Open Day will be held on the first weekend in August.
Last year more than 43,000 people visited one of six Australian Monash campuses and more than 90,000 logged on to the Open Day website.
The program is so large it is split into two days. Berwick, Gippsland, Parkville and Peninsula campuses will host prospective students and their parents on Saturday 1 August from 10 am to 4 pm. Caulfield and Clayton campuses will host their Open Day from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday 2 August.
This year's events will include live and interactive sessions ranging from engineering robotics, mock law trials, games and quizzes and performing arts demonstrations.
Visitors will also be able to chat with current students and lecturers and find out about the University's Study Abroad program and the Monash Passport.
Free transport is available between the Caulfield and Clayton campuses from 10 am on Sunday.
Director of Caulfield and Clayton campuses Professor Rob Willis said a diverse range of information would be available including information on accommodation, admission requirements, courses and scholarships.
"Prospective students will be able to enjoy the Monash experience and learn first-hand what it's like to be part of the life of the University through tours of the campuses, libraries, lecture theatres, galleries and laboratories," Professor Willis said.
Monash University is Australia's largest university offering a wide range of study options. It has campuses in Australia, Asia and South Africa, 56,000 students, 7000 staff and an enviable reputation for teaching and research excellence forged in just fifty years.
