The Australian Research Council (ARC) has agreed to fund two of Monash's existing Centres of Excellence for a further three years.
The ARC Centre of Excellence of Design in Light Metals and the ARC Centre of Excellence in Structural and Functional Microbial Genomics, located at Monash University's Clayton campus have both been recognised as high performing centres by the Federal Government.
"Monash is delighted that the Australian Research Council has supported these Centres of Excellence for a further three years so that they can continue their vital contributions," said Professor Edwina Cornish, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research).
The Centre of Excellence of Design in Light Metals is dedicated to developing lighter, more efficient and less expensive metals and the Centre of Excellence in Structural and Functional Microbial Genomics is committed to producing solutions for vaccine and drug development to prevent and treat disease. |
