MUMA’s new facilities – Caulfield Campus 2010In 2010, Monash University Museum of Art will be relocating to new premises on the University's Caulfield Campus. Designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects, MUMA’s new facilities will provide increased gallery spaces and capacity for MUMA to present an expanded program of exhibitions, projects and public programs, alongside ongoing displays of the Monash University Collection. MUMA’s new facilities will be located on the ground floor of Building F, at the heart of the Art & Design precinct, alongside the Faculty of Art & Design, and departments of Fine Art, Architecture, Design and History and Theory. The inner-city location of the Caulfield campus, and ease of public transport access, will allow for greater visitor access and involvement. MUMA’s new facilities will also encompass an outdoor sculpture court, in which to present sculpture and performance, music and events. Above all, it will be a place for members of the university and wider community to congregate and enjoy. Patrons and SponsorsThrough the generosity of three of Melbourne's most prominent philanthropic foundations, MUMA's move to new premises at the University's Caulfield campus will occur in 2010. In order to achieve the full scope of MUMA’s inspiring facilities, the university has established a campaign to encourage contributions from sponsors and donors. Prospective donors are welcome to contact Mr. Ron Fairchild, Vice-President, Advancement, or MUMA’s Director, Mr. Max Delany, to discuss sponsorship and philanthropic opportunities.
