Drowning prevention - swimming skills

This project identifies dramatic reductions in drowning rates in Australia above the age of 4 years, closely associated with the implementation of swimming and water safety training from the 1950's. Developing countries have drowning rates equivalent to those in Australia prior to widespread swimming training. Peer-review journal article is in preparation.
