Language Exchange Program

Information

The Language Exchange program matches international students with local students who are studying a foreign language at Monash for one hour per week of language exchange. The languages available in the progam are Japanese, Bahasa Indonesian, Korean and Mandarin.  Local students can improve their foreign language skills, make contacts for future overseas visits and gain valuable conversational experience. In exchange, international students learn more about the local culture and receive assistance with English through friendly interaction with local people. Participants are matched according to language requested, faculty and availability. Time involved – one hour per week.
