Australian Development Scholarships (ADS)

Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) are a highly-valued form of development cooperation between Australia and partner countries with which Australia has a bilateral aid program.  Funded by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), the scholarships provide opportunities for students from selected developing countries to undertake further study in Australia.  ADS provide partner countries with the opportunity to strengthen their human resource capacity by offering scholarships to individuals within key institutions, to undertake tertiary studies in Australia in areas relevant to the development needs of the country.

Australian Partnership Scholarships (APS)

The Australian Partnership Scholarships Program is an initiative of the Australian Prime Minister and Indonesian President, and part of the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD).  These scholarships support Indonesia's reconstruction and development efforts by contributing to the development and advancement of its future leaders.  The scholarships are available for Indonesian students for Postgraduate study in Australia.

Australian Leadership Awards (ALA)

Australian Leadership Awards (ALA) are a new award under which the Australian Government offers scholarships and fellowships for current and future leaders from the Asia-Pacific Region.  ALAs provide exceptional educational opportunities from 2006-2011 to study in Australia. They are awarded to people who are already leaders or have potential to assume leadership roles that can influence social and economic policy reform and development outcomes, both in their own countries and in the Asia and Pacific region. The Awards will be available to present and future leaders and personnel in corporate, academic, non-government and government services.
