VCE Revision lectures - supporting the local community

The Peninsula Education Precinct - PEP has been presenting VCE Revision Lectures at Monash Peninsula since 2004. The series is an initiative of the PEP and was put in place to help lift the educational outcomes of students in the region. The vision was to offer an affordable, quality lecture series at a local venue, so that students did not need to travel to the other side of town and pay expensive fees to obtain help in the preparation for their exams.

The Monash Peninsula series offers its lectures at only $20 per session. They are priced to make them accessible to as many students in the region as possible.

Monash University Peninsula Campus administers the series on behalf of the Peninsula Education Precinct of which it is a member. Two series are run each year - Mid year (5 subjects) in May, and the end of year series (usually around 16 subjects) in October.

The series started in 2004 and has grown and gone from strength to strength. We have a first-class group of lecturers who present the subject lectures, and many of them have been with us since the beginning. The quality of the lectures is outstanding thanks to our wonderful lecturers, many of whom lecture for other commercial revision lecture providers.

In our inaugural year, 2004, registrations were around 350. In 2008 registrations were in excess of 2500!

Over the years the lecture series has developed an outstanding reputation for providing relevant, worthwhile revision opportunities for students, so much so that what was developed as a local community initiative now attracts many students from outside our region who travel to Peninsula campus to attend.
