(Tim Wilson, introduces himself to the Dean of IT - Professor Ron Weber) Approximately 800 new students attended the official welcome ceremony in Chisholm Hall as an African drummer led in the academic procession. Speeches welcoming students to the City of Glen Eira and the university were made by the Mayor, Cr. Dorothy Marwick, Academic Director, Professor Rob Willis and Student President 2004, Michael Josem.

(A record attendance of over 140 enjoying International Women's Day Lunch) The guest speaker for the event was Jill Singer. Jill spoke of motherhood, IVF and surrogacy and her very well-researched talk was most thought provoking and stimulating.
(Jill Singer - guest speaker at the International Women's Day Lunch) Piano RecitalA free lunchtime recital by internationally acclaimed pianist Brian Chapman will take place on Thursday 15 April in the Clayfield Room between 1.10 p.m and 1.55 p.m. Brian will present a Chopin recital, including the Sonata in B minor Opus 58. All staff and students are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Bicycle Lockers12 single cages in Princes Avenue, 12

at the Administration entry to A Building and 4 double cages in the tunnel
opposite C Building entry. MONSU will mangage the lockers/cages. Please

Monday to Friday - 8.00 a.m. to Midnight Saturday - 10.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Sunday 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Intercampus Shuttle Bus
The service is provided for all staff and students with staff/student ID cards to be presented upon request. Seats are limited with utilisation on a "first come-first served" basis. Buses can be boarded at the Gatehouse at Caulfield and at the bus loop at Clayton. Tuesday morning clearance has now been changed to Monday afternoons. All bins should be left for clearance each Monday by lunchtime.
